Drake secures the longest-reigning UK number one for nine years

PanARMENIAN.Net - Drake has secured the longest reign at number one in the UK single charts in nine years, after 'One Dance' spent a seventh straight week at number one, NME reports.

The track, featuring Wizkid and Kyla, is the first to spend seven consecutive weeks at the top since Leona Lewis' 'Bleeding Love', which spent the same amount of time at the top in 2007.

But if the song continues to hold the top spot next week, it will become the longest-reigning chart topper since Rihanna's Umbrella, which spent a mammoth 10 weeks at number one when also released in 2007.

Elsewhere in the UK charts, Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop The Feeling stayed at number two for a second week, while Rihanna and Calvin Harris' This Is What You Came For stayed at number three.

Drake's fortunes didn't quite extend to the album charts, where latest record Views was knocked from the top spot by Ariana Grande's new album 'Dangerous Woman'.

The record, which is Grande's first number one album, pipped the Canadian rapper to the top spot by just 600 copies.

Other new entries included Richard Ashcroft's latest album 'These People', which entered the charts in third place, along with Bob Dylan's 'Fallen Angels', which secured fifth place.
