  Levon Aronian placed 4th in FIDE World Rankings June 2, 2016 - 11:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian was placed 4th in FIDE World Ranking among active players, Chess Federation of Armenia reports. World champion Magnus Carlsen tops the list of the world’s 100 strongest chess players. Also included in the list are Armenian grandmasters Gabriel Sargissian, Vladimir Akopian and Sergei Movsesian. Chinese Hou Yifan leads the women’s rankings, with Armenians Elina Danielian and Lilit Mkrtchyan also listed among the 100 best players.
