Emily Blunt won’t return for

PanARMENIAN.Net - The "Sicario" sequel has got an official title, "Soldado" which means Soldier in Spanish. Emily Blunt who played FBI agent Kate Macer in the original film will not return for the second installment to portray the heroine, AceShowbiz said. She is currently pregnant and is expected to be busy with "Mary Poppins Returns" when she's back to work after her maternal leave.

Instead, the sequel will focus on Benicio Del Toro who played an assassin who previously teamed up with Macer to take down a Mexican drug lord. Josh Brolin is also reprising his role as a CIA agent who played a double agent in the drug war.

Italian helmer Stefano Sollima ("Gomorra") is in talks to direct the movie after "Green Room" helmer Jeremy Saulnier, who was initially a frontrunner to replace Denis Villenueve, passed the offer due to scheduling conflict. The project is expected to enter production this fall.
