Olivia Wilde set to direct the next vid for Red Hot Chili Peppers

PanARMENIAN.Net - Hollywood actress Olivia Wilde is set to direct the next video for Red Hot Chili Peppers for single 'Dark Necessities', NME reports.

Wilde currently stars in HBO’s latest rock ‘n’ roll drama series Vinyl and has previously directed the music video for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros’ 'No Love Like Yours'.

Wilde has been sharing snaps of her time on the 'Dark Necessities' set on Instagram. One shows her directing model Noelle Mulligan, while another is captioned: "Chad Smith tearing up this crazy kit last night after I asked him to play at double the normal speed."

It looks as though cinematographer Chris Blauvelt is also involved, with Wilde sharing a snap of Blauvelt with the caption: "The man. Our kamikaze DP Chris Blauvelt". He has previously worked with Sofia Coppola and Harmony Korine.

Frontman Anthony Kiedis was recently hospitalised with intestinal flu. Speaking to ET Canada, Kiedis shared an update concerning his health, stating that he "feels good, but not great." "I think I had to get sick to take a look at myself and get to the causes and conditions of my overall health," he continued.

'Dark Necessities' is taken from the Red Hot Chili Peppers' upcoming album 'The Getaway' out June 17.
