President appoints Armen Gevorgyan as chief of National Security Council

PanARMENIAN.Net - President Serzh Sargsyan on Monday, June 6 appointed Armen Gevorgyan as the Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council.

“Armen Gevorgyan possesses adequate experience to properly carry out complex duties of the Secretary of the National Security Council,” Sargsyan said.

“I have known him for almost twenty years, we have worked together, and throughout this period, he has contributed greatly to the works of the NSC. I have no doubt that in a short period of time he will prove to our society and our state that the National Security Council is an important part of our national government structure.”

“I am confident that through our joint effort we will indeed be able to deliver on all expectations,” Gevorgyan said, in turn.
