Kristen Stewart thriller “Personal Shopper” sells to multiple territoriesJune 6, 2016 - 17:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Universal Pictures will distribute Olivier Assayas’ metaphysical Paris-set thriller and Palme d’Or contender “Personal Shopper”, starring Kristen Stewart, in multiple international territories, Variety reports. Scandinavia, Latin America and Eastern Europe are among the regions where Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group will distribute the film next year. It will be made available in movie theaters, on DVD, via digital download and TV. “Personal Shopper” was one of the most buzzed-about titles in Cannes competition this year. It marks Stewart’s second collaboration with Assayas after “Clouds of Sils Maria,” for which she became the first U.S. actress to win a prestigious French Cesar award for her performance as a personal assistant to a famous actress, played by Juliette Binoche. Their second work together carries on the assistant theme with Stewart playing Maureen, a young American woman in Paris, who makes her living as the personal shopper for a celebrity. In the backdrop, Maureen starts to suspect she may possess psychic powers like those of her recently deceased brother when she starts receiving messages from an ambiguous source.
