Andie MacDowell joins Miles Teller firefighter film “Granite Mountain”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Andie MacDowell has rounded out the cast of the Black Label Media and Lionsgate film “Granite Mountain”, starring Josh Brolin and Miles Teller, Variety reports.

Originally titled “No Exit,” the film also stars Jeff Bridges, Taylor Kitsch and James Badge Dale.

“Tron: Legacy” helmer Joseph Kosinski will direct the movie. The inspirational true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots — how a wildland firefighter created the first municipal “Hotshot” crew and, together with his men, faced one of the worst wildfires in history to save an Arizona town.”

Ken Nolan developed the story on spec with the producers.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Erik Howsam, Conde Nast Entertainment’s Jeremy Steckler and Dawn Ostroff, Mike Menchel, Black Label Media’s Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill and Thad Luckinbill are producing the film, which Black Label is financing.

Di Bonaventura also has “Deep Water Horizon” on the pipeline with Lionsgate.

Lionsgate saw strong international sales while shopping territory rights for the project at the Cannes Film Festival.

MacDowell was most recently appeared in “Magic Mike XXL”.
