inKin social fitness platform launches Euro 2016 contest to challenge fans’ energy, speedJune 9, 2016 - 15:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A Russian-Armenian startup, inKin Social Fitness Platform launched a special Euro 2016 project that combines football with social fitness. The main idea is to get active while supporting your favorite Euro 2016 team. inKin Euro 2016 Step Competition replicates the rules of the football championship but in order to win, the team players will need to take as many steps as possible. Currently, the platform supports Fitbit, Garmin, Microsoft Band, Jawbone, Misfit, Withings to name a few. They plan to integrate more devices throughout 2016. The main benefit, however, is that you don't have to have a fitness tracker to join the competitions as the platform also supports few pedometer apps (Moves, Fitbit, Withings for iOS and Android).
A private alpha version of the platform was launched in February 2015, shortly followed by an open beta in July 2015. This free-to-use platform offers cross-device compatibility and aims to keep you motivated by allowing you to compete with your friends, family, and co-workers even if they use different fitness devices. Currently, the startup has over 10.000 users mostly from the U.S., Canada, UK, Europe and Australia. Some of inKin’s key features include a leaderboard, various competition modes and duels, groups (coming soon) and more. The startup has also recently released the beta corporate wellness solution to help companies take care of their employees' activity and wellbeing.
