PanARMENIAN.Net - Walt Disney Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for "Moana" that puts the spotlight on Maui, voiced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Digital Spy said. The once-mighty demigod brags about his powers in the video. Hoping to amaze Moana (Auli'i Cravalho), he's disappointed that she gives no reaction.

The video doesn't give a hint at the storyline, but shows that Moana will not just sit and watch in their adventure, but is also ready to get into action. There's a glimpse of some other characters sailing through the ocean.

The film tells the story of an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder.

Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she's always sought: her own identity.

Supported by Alan Tudyk and Phillipa Soo in the voice cast, the animated flick will open in theaters across the nation on December 23, just in time for Christmas. "Hamilton" star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa'i and Mark Mancina wrote some original music for the soundtrack.
