Possible details of “Transformers: The Last Knight” leak online

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Transformers: The Last Knight" plot details are still kept under wraps, but a new scoop that has surfaced online offers a hint at what the protagonist 'bot Optimus Prime will be up to. The possible story and character details also reveal new characters and the main villain in the upcoming movie, AceShowbiz said.

According to JoBlo, the story will revolve around Optimus Prime as he finds his home planet, Cybertron, now a dead planet. Thinking that he's responsible for its demise, he finds a way to bring the planet back to life by finding an artifact on Earth, which is somehow tied to Merlin, a wizard in Arthurian mythology.

The site points out that the artifact has something to do with Merlin's sword, Excalibur. It's possible because there is also a sword in the movie's logo. It also elaborates that there is a possibility of a Transformer giving the artifact's power to Merlin.

The site adds, "Of course, we've seen the effects of time travel in these films already and are aware of Transformers visiting Earth throughout the planets existence, so that certainly fits with the universe they've created and now it appears that the story will add British Mythology to the narrative."

Sources confirm that Optimus Prime is off on his own mission, while Bumblebee takes the leadership role. Hound, Crosshair and Drift are also returning. The Autobots are making their home in Badlands of South Dakota, which becomes their operation's base.

There will also be three new Transformers, including some with English origins. The first one is The Creator, who is said to have ties to the Transformers' origins. The second one is Cogman, whose vehicular form is an Aston Martin. The last one is Squeaks, whose vehicular form is a Vespa.

The main villain is none other than Megatron, who is coming back in his vehicular form jet fighter.

Directed by Michael Bay, "Transformers: The Last Knight" starring Mark Wahlberg, Isabela Moner and Josh Duhamel is coming to U.S. theaters on June 23, 2017.
