Armenia, Tajikistan talk bilateral ties, agree 2016-2018 consultation program

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia values Tajikistan’s balanced position on the Nagorno Karabakh issue and support to the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, Foreign MinisterEdward Nalbandian said Saturday, July 2 as he met with his Tajik counterpart Sirodjidin M. Aslov in Yerevan.

The parties discussed bilateral ties, economic, political and cultural cooperation, with Nalbandian briefing Aslov on the current stage of the Nagorno Karabahk conflict.

Also, the Ministers weighed in on Tajikistani President’s upcoming visit to Armenia and signed 2016-2018 consultation program between the foreign offices of both states.

Also Saturday, the Tajik diplomat met with President Serzh Sargsyan, with the latter expressing hope that the visit will promote the development of relations between the two nations.
