Every track on the new Tool album is over 12 minutes long

PanARMENIAN.Net - Back in March, Tool front-man Maynard James Keenan spoke out regarding a rumoured return to the studio for the band.

Rumours have been abound for years about a new LP from the quartet, which would be the first full lengtyh album since 10,000 Days and the first in almost a decade.

As NME reports citing The Press Enterprise, the metal singer was promoting his other band, Puscifer, when he addressed the issue of a new Tool album, commenting (albeit rather briefly): "We’ve found a common ground. We just can’t seem to move forward.”

It has now been revealed that The Melvins frontman Buzz Osborne is one of the lucky few to have heard some of the band’s new music.

Speaking to TeamRock.com, Osbourne revealed that the shortest song on the album so far is 12 minutes. "Bands like Tool obviously spend about six months on their albums, and they’ve spent about 10 years putting together the new one," he said.

However, Osbourne said that the band haven't even started recording yet.

Tool played their first live show of 2015 dressed as members of Led Zeppelin for Halloween. The band's frontman Maynard James Keenan and co played Monster Mash festival in Tempe, Arizona on October 31, with the band covering Led Zeppelin's 'No Quarter' for the occasion.
