Armenia values EU commitment to Karabakh settlement: President

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia appreciates the European Union’s commitment to establish a favorable atmosphere for the comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, President Serzh Sargsyan said Wednesday, July 6.

At a meeting with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Herbert Salber, Sargsyan outlined Armenia’s efforts to reach a lasting settlement of the conflict, with the OSCE Minsk group mediating the process. The President assured that Yerevan is ready to continue taking constructive steps for the establishment of peace and stability in the region.

The parties agreed that relations between Armenia and the 28-nation bloc develop dynamically, expressing hope that negotiations on a new framework agreement will be completed in the coming weeks.
