1st look at Jackie Earle Haley on Stephen King's “Dark Tower” setJuly 11, 2016 - 14:52 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - As production on "The Dark Tower" continues, more photos from the set have surfaced online. Taken during the filming in the Dumbo neighborhood on Brooklyn, New York on Sunday, July 10, the new pictures give the first look at Jackie Earle Haley in the movie, AceShowbiz said. The 43-year-old actor sported dots on his face so he will likely get CGI work done on his face to transform him into the fearsome vampire leader Richard Sayre. He's filming a fight scene with Idris Elba, who portrays Roland Deschain a.k.a. the Gunslinger. Haley was seen angrily ripping off a car door at one point. Elba was pointing his gun at Haley, who later sat and collapsed on the ground, apparently injured during the fight. Based on Stephen King's fantasy novels, "The Dark Tower" also stars Matthew McConaughey as the villainous Walter Padick a.k.a. the Man in Black. It centers on Deschain who roams an Old West-like landscape in search of a dark tower, which is rumored to be a magical portal to other worlds. Nikolaj Arcel is directing the pic and co-writing the script with Anders Thomas Jensen, Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner. The movie is set for a February 17, 2017 release in the United States.
