Now rookie helmer Greg Kwedar’s pic starring Johnny Simmons, Gabriel Luna and Clifton Collins Jr has a release date: September 9 in theaters day-and-date with its digital bow, Deadline said. Transpecos follows three border patrol agents — rookie Davis (Simmons), the seasoned Flores (Luna) and callous, world-weary Hobbs (Collins) — who man a checkpoint on a remote highway. On what feels like another routine stop, the contents of one car will throw their lives out of control.
