“Saw” reboot is coming in 2017

PanARMENIAN.Net - Moviegoers who enjoy thrilling flicks must be pleased with this news from Lionsgate. The distribution company has announced release date for a new "Saw" movie. The reboot to the horror film franchise is scheduled to hit theaters on October 27, 2017, AceShowbiz reports.

The untitled pic will be co-directed by Michael and Peter Spierig, the filmmaking duo behind 2010's thriller "Daybreakers". Other details, including plotline and cast members, are still kept under wraps. Mark Burg and Oren Koules will be producing.

Lionsgate has also set the date for action comedy "The Hitman's Bodyguard" starring Ryan Reynolds. It is due out on August 18, 2017. The Patrick Hughes-directed movie centers on the world's top protection agent (Reynolds) who gets a new client - a hitman who is his former foe (Samuel L. Jackson). The duo team up and have 24 hours to get the Hague to take down a murderous dictator (Gary Oldman).

In other news, Jessica Chastain's political thriller "Miss Sloane" is slated for a December 9, 2016 release. The movie follows an ambitious lobbyist (Chastain) who risks her career on Capitol Hill to pass stricter gun-control legislation.
