Disney unveils 8 posters for animated film

PanARMENIAN.Net - Walt Disney Pictures has released eight character posters for the upcoming animated film "Moana", AceShowbiz reports.

The newly-released images feature the titular character Moana and a demigod named Maui, as well as give the first look at other characters who will meet the main characters in their journey.

One of the colorful images features Moana holding a paddle in the seashore. In another picture, Maui can be seen holding his weapon in a cliff. The other pictures feature the newly-unveiled characters, including Pua, Tui and Sina, Gramma Tala, Tamatoa, Hei Hei as well as Kakamora.

Disney also reveals new voice cast members for the upcoming animated film. The already announced actors, including Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho, are joined by Alan Tudyk, Nicole Scherzinger, Temuera Morrison, Jemaine Clement and Rachel House.

Newcomer Cravalho lends her voice to Moana, while Wrestler-turned-actor Johnson is behind the voice of Maui. Tudyk, who lent his voice to Alistair Krei in 2014's "Big Hero 6" and Duke Weaselton in the 2016 "Zootopia", provides the voice of Hei Hei the rooster.

Scherzinger and Morrison lend their voice to Moana's mother and father respectively. Meanwhile, Clement provides the voice of Tamatoa. As for House, she voices Moana's grandmother named Gramma Tala in the film which will sail into U.S. theaters on September 23, AceShowbiz says.

"Moana" centers on an adventurous teenager named Moana, who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, she meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder.

Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she's always sought, her own identity.
