RedMi Pro: Xiaomi announces first smartphone with dual cameraJuly 28, 2016 - 13:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Xiaomi has announced the RedMi Pro, its first smartphone with a dual-camera setup, The Verge reports. The RedMi Pro features a 13MP Sony IMX258 sensor along with a 5MP Samsung sensor on the rear of the device, which Xiaomi says will produce DSLR-quality photos. The company says the camera gives users the ability to choose the focus point after a shot is taken, and thanks to "hardware-level depth of field processing" the RedMi Pro will be able to add effects like blurred backgrounds natively. The RedMi Pro is also the first Xiaomi smartphone display to use an OLED display. For a device that comes in under $300, the RedMi Pro is pretty stacked: MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor (X20 on the base model); 5.5-inch 1080p OLED display; up to 128GB of storage; up to 4GB of RAM,4050mAh battery, USB-C, fingerprint sensor, dual SIM slot.
The RedMi Pro will be available in gray, black, and gold on August 6 in China. Prices start at $224 for the 32GB + 3GB of RAM version, $254 for the 64GB + 3GB of RAM option, and $299 for the 128GB + 4GB of RAM model on Xiaomi's website and in its stores.
