Aronian leading 2016 Sinquefield Cup after round 3

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian is leading the 2016 Sinquefield Cup after the Saint Louis-hosted chess tournament round 3.

After 3 rounds of the tournament, Aronian, Wesley So (U.S.), Viswanathan Anand (India) and Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria) have gained 2 points each.

The players above are followed by Hikaru Nakamura (U.S.), Ding Liren (China) and Fabiano Caruana (U.S.)

Maxime Vachier - Lagrave (France) and Anish Giri (Netherlands) gained 1 point each, with Russia’s Peter Svidler coming in last with 0,5 point.

To perform at round 5 are the following pairs: Aronian-Caruana, Nakamura-Topalov, Ding Liren-Anand, So- Giri, Vachier – Lagrave-Svidler, Novosti-Armenia reports.
