Apple “looking to get in on the health-tracking game”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Keeping up with the market trends, Apple has slowly channelled an emphasis on health-related products, Digital Spy said.

The company offers a sport variant to the Apple Watch, while HealthKit, ResearchKit and CareKit all accompany the upcoming prompt for users to become organ donors.

Now, a fresh report from Taiwan's Economic Daily News indicates Apple has been working on a standalone health-tracking device for the past two years.

The device can allegedly track heart rates and blood sugar changes by making use of similar pressure-sensitive technology to that which features in the iPhone 6S/6S Plus.

Apple is reportedly looking for component suppliers and manufacturers to potentially bring the product to launch next year - potentially alongside the anniversary edition of the iPhone.

At this time, it's unknown whether the device would be a wearable variant to the Apple Watch, a smart scale like the one available exclusively at Apple stores, or something completely innovative.
