Police station siege: 2 arrested over obstruction of journalists’ activities

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian court ruled to use arrest as a preventive measure against Vladimir M. and Seyran K. for prevention of journalists’ professional legal actions and hooliganism on the night of July 29-30 at Yerevan’s Sari Tagh district, Armenia’s Special Investigation Service said.

According to the SIS press service, the investigator presented a motion to choose arrest as a preventive measure against the perpetrators on August 11.

SIS will continue preliminary investigation of the criminal case, initiated under part 1 of Article 308 (abuse of official position), part 2 of Article 309 (failure of official position coupled with assault) and Article 164 (prevention of journalists professional legal actions) over the incidents in Yerevan’s Sari Tagh district on the night of July 29-30.
