You can now bring Instagram stories to your computer

PanARMENIAN.Net - Despite having allowed you to view your pals' latest snaps on a desktop for some time, Instagram has always been a mobile-first app.

This was made clear when it essentially copied the Stories feature from mobile-only Snapchat, opting against making the new service compatible with the web version.

But instead of waiting for the Facebook-owned company to sluggishly roll out your friends and frenemies' Stories, a developer has created a Google Chrome extension to let you enjoy their probably faux creations, Digital Spy said.

Chrome IG Story allows you to sign in as usual before the row of circles appears on the top of your timeline, although you may need to give a couple of refreshes to help the icons appear.

While this is a useful tool for secretly getting your Insta fix during work, whether it remains available for a prolonged amount of time depends on whether the company believes the plug-in violates its application programming interface.
