Air defense research organizations to be established within CSTO

PanARMENIAN.Net - Basic research organizations in the air defense sector will be created within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said Tuesday, August 16.

Speaking after a session of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council, Ohanyan said the summit addressed enhancement of cooperation among member states of the Organization, Sputnik Armenia reports.

“Our meetings enable duscussing topical issues, given the geopolitical situation within the CSTO area and the Caucasus, as well as to define activities for a further development of the Organization’s military component,” Ohanyan said.

Defense Ministry delegations from CSTO member states - Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan – as well as Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha and Chief of Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov participated in the session.
