Gor Minasyan wins silver, secures Armenia’s 4th Olympic medal

PanARMENIAN.Net - Gor Minasyan of Armenia earned silver in the men's +105kg at the Rio-hosted Olympic Games on Tuesday, August 16.

Lifting 451 kg above his head, the Armenian athlete came second to Lasha Talakhadze of Georgia who set a new record for total (473kg) and won gold.

Another weightlifter from Team Armenia, Ruben Aleksanyan came in 4th in the same weight category.

Also Tuesday, wrestler Artur Aleksanyan and Migran Arutyunyan won gold and silver, respectively.

Armenia has snatched four medals in the Rio Games overall.
