Armenia’s Levan Berianidze to start fight in Rio Aug 20

PanARMENIAN.Net - The penultimate day of the Olympics in Rio brings Armenia’s Levan Berianidze (125kg) a chance to shine.

An Armenian freestyle wrestler of Georgian descent, Berianidze will on Saturday, August 20 fight in the men’s competition 1/8 finals in a bout against Deng Zhiwei of China.

Two more freestyle wrestlers, Georgy Ketoyev(-97 kg) and David Safaryan (-65 kg) will be the last to represent Armenia on Sunday.

Armenia has so far snatched a gold and three silver medals at the Rio-hosted Summer Olympic Games.
