PanARMENIAN.Net - The Weeknd has set two new Guinness World Records, NME said.

The renowned record-breaking reference book, which releases its 2017 edition on September 8, announced today that the 'Can't Feel My Face' artist will feature in their hallowed pages after setting two chart-based records over the past 21 months.

As Complex reports, The Weeknd's 2015 album, 'Beauty Behind The Madness', currently holds the world record for the most streamed album on Spotify in one year, after it was listened to by 60 million unique listeners between the timestamp of December 1, 2014 and December 1, 2015.

The Weeknd - AKA Abel Tesfaye - also set the world record for the 'Most consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 by a solo male artist.' A slew of singles, including 'Earned It', 'Can't Feel My Face' and 'The Hills', ensured that Tesfaye remained in the top 10 of the US singles chart for 45 consecutive weeks between March 7 2015 and January 9 2016.

The Weeknd joins fellow Canadian Justin Bieber in featuring in this year's Guinness World Records, after the pop singer was revealed to be the holder of eight world records, including the record for being the first act to occupy all top three positions simultaneously on the UK singles chart.
