Armenia exported $98 mln-worth tobacco in January-JulySeptember 1, 2016 - 14:24 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia exported $97.7 million-worth tobacco in the first seven months of 2016 against the $87.2 million last year, the National Statistical Service said. Over 11.5 billion cigarettes were produced, up by 23% against the period between January and July 2015. According to the Statistical Service, tobacco worth $139 million was manufactured in the seven months of 2016 with a 13.6% growth compared to last year’s results. More than 70% of the tobacco made in Armenia was consumed outside the country, with the overall export growth amounting to 12%.
