Arsene Wenger says Man United’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be dangerous

PanARMENIAN.Net - Arsene Wenger has hailed Manchester United's capture of the “dangerous” Henrikh Mkhitaryan, The Daily Star reports.

United boss Jose Mourinho signed the 27-year-old Armenian from Borussia Dortmund for around £27m in July.

Mkhitaryan scored 23 times in 51 Dortmund appearances last term and was in high demand at the start of the summer.

While United snapped him up, he has struggled to break into Mourinho's first-team so far this term but will likely have a major part to play in the rest of the campaign.

Wenger, who spent close to £100m at Arsenal over the summer, reckons Mkhitaryan is one of the most exciting new additions to the Premier League.

He said: "[Mkhitaryan] has always been a very good midfielder but last year was the first year where he scored goals.

"I think he scored 10 goals [11 goals - editor's note] in the Bundesliga so that of course makes him more dangerous.

"He will bring something to Man United."

Mkhitaryan will hope to get his first league start of the season when United host fierce rivals City at Old Trafford after the international break.

United suffered an injury scare after the winger was subbed off just 38 minutes into Armenia's friendly against the Czech Republic.
