PanARMENIAN.Net - The cast of David Bowie's Lazarus musical have shared recorded covers of the late star's songs, NME reports.

The stage show, which opened in New York late last year, is based on Bowie's 1976 film The Man Who Fell To Earth, which saw the musician playing the character of an alcoholic alien called Thomas Newton. The show, co-written with Irish playwright Enda Walsh and directed by Belgian director Ivo van Hove, stars Dexter and Six Feet Under actor Michael C Hall. It will now run at the Kings Cross Theatre in London from October 25, 2016 to January 21, 2017.

A 2CD/3LP 'Lazarus Cast Album' will be released on October 21 via ISO/RCA Records. Ahead of its release, you can hear the cast recordings of 'Life On Mars?', as sung by Sophia Anne Caruso, and 'Lazarus', sung by Michael C Hall. Stream below via Apple Music.

Last night, Michael C Hall performed a Bowie tribute at the 2016 Mercury Prize ceremony, where the late music icon's final album 'Blackstar' was nominated.

As well as the cast recordings, the 'Lazarus Cast Album' will include three final Bowie studio recordings ('No Plan', 'Killing A Little Time' and 'When I Met You') as well as the 'Blackstar' recording of 'Lazarus'.
