Green Day postpone first gigs of tour

PanARMENIAN.Net - Green Day have been forced to postpone and cancel several live dates due to ill health, NME reports.

The band release their new album 'Revolution Radio' on October 7. They have so far shared the album's title track and lead single 'Bang Bang'.

Expected to hit the road this week, the group have now confirmed in a statement posted to Facebook that their gigs in St Louis, Chicago and Detroit have been postponed while their Toronto date has been scrapped altogether.

The statement cites the reason as "illness affecting several members of the band and its crew".

"We’re so sad to announce we have to postpone three shows and cancel Toronto," the band write. "Many of us have been battling this infection for days on end to be ready, and it just got the best of us".

Green Day are expected to resume their tour later this month and play the following live dates:
