FM chairs UN General Assembly session as Armenia marks independence

PanARMENIAN.Net - Acting Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian chaired the session of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, September 21, the day Armenia was celebrating the 25th anniversary of its independence.

A number of heads of state delivered remarks on Wednesday.

The General Assembly session kicked off on Tuesday, with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, U.S. President Barack Obama, French leader Francois Hollande among others delivering speeches.

Also Tuesday, Nalbandian participated in the summit on migrants organized on Obama’s initiative to tackle issues of reaching aid to the refugees and overcoming the migrant crisis with joint efforts.
