Bollywood should make at least one film in Armenia, consul says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will attract a great number of Indian tourists if Bollywood shoots at least one film in the South Caucasus republic, Armenia’s honorary consul to India Eswaran Shivakumar said Wednesday, September 28.

“Armenia is a wonderful country, and if Bollywood made a film here, many Indians would visit the country,” he said, according to Novosti Armenia.

“I generally think that Armenia is much more attractive for tourists than Europe.”

Addressing reporters after signing an agreement between the Chambers of Commerce of both states, Shivakumar said Indian businesses are very much interested in Armenia.

“The deal will enable further deepening trade ties and establishing relations between factories and productions. India is keen to invest in Armenia’s IT and tourism sectors,” the diplomat said.

According to him, Armenia appeals to India not only as a country, but also as a bridge to the Eurasian Economic Union and Eastern European states.
