"Underworld: Blood Wars" trailer features Kate Beckinsale (video)

PanARMENIAN.Net - The first official trailer for "Underworld: Blood Wars" has been released by Sony Pictures for fans' viewing pleasure, AceShowbiz said. It sees Kate Beckinsale as Selene who transforms into unstoppable, the most powerful vampire in the centuries.

The newly-released video opens with Selene telling Theo James's David that she's finished with the war between the Vampire faction and the Lycan clan. "It's not finished with you," he responds, adding that the new Lycan leader, Marius (Tobias Menzies), wants the blood of her and her daughter.

One scene sees Marius saying that Selene is the key of the future of Lycans and Vampires. "When we have the blood of Selene and her daughter, we will be invincible." The transformed Selene can be seen joining the fighting sequences. "There's nothing stopping her now," David says.

Directed by Anna Foerster from a script by Cory Goodman, the fifth installment of the "Underworld" movie series is coming to U.S. theaters on January 6, 2017. Charles Dance is back as David's father Thomas. Trent Garrett and Lara Pulver are set to play Michael Corvin, Selene's lover who was previously played by Scott Speedman, and a fiercely ambitious Vampire named Semira respectively.

"Underworld: Blood Wars" follows vampire death dealer, Selene, as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David and his father Thomas, she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.
