"Big Little Lies" star-studded miniseries unveils first trailer (video)

PanARMENIAN.Net - HBO has debuted the first teaser for its star-studded miniseries "Big Little Lies", AceShowbiz said. While it does very little in explaining the storyline, it promises plenty of sex and emotional scenes and offers a glimpse of a gunshot.

"What do you look at in the ocean? What's out there? Monsters?" a young girl asks Reese Witherspoon at the beginning of the video, as they enjoy the scenery across their home. "It's full of life, dreams, mystery... who knows what lies out there beneath the surface?" Witherspoon responds.

There's also a look at Alexander Skarsgard dressing as Elvis Presley, and Shailene Woodley, who was sleeping, surprised by a little boy.

Based on Liane Moriarty's 2014 best-selling book, the miniseries follows three mothers (Witherspoon, Woodley and Nicole Kidman) of kindergartners whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder. It's described as a dark comedy.

"Big Little Lies" is slated to premiere sometime in 2017. David E. Kelley penned the eight-episode miniseries, while Jean-Marc Vallee serves as director. Laura Dern, Adam Scott and Zoe Kravitz are also in the all-star cast.
