Cillian Murphy confirms “Peaky Blinders” season 4 film date

PanARMENIAN.Net - The new series of Peaky Blinders is likely to drop next year – with Cillian Murphy revealing that filming on the hit show will begin in March, according to NME.

Back in May, it was confirmed that Peaky Blinders would be returning for two more seasons – and that a film could be on the way too. Fans however, will have to wait until the New Year until the cast are back on the set of the historical Birmingham crime drama.

“We start shooting the next series next March, I think,” Murphy told The Birmingham Mail.

The Thomas Shelby actor continued: “The success of it is down to really great writing. People in America love it, people in Australia love it, people in Poland love it – it’s mad.”

Shooting on the last series finished at the end of January, before being screened at the start of May – suggesting that the next series could be on our screens by October 2017.

Earlier this year, Murphy revealed that David Bowie was a huge fan of Peaky Blinders.

“This mad thing happened about six months ago I suppose, maybe last Autumn,” he said.

“Steve Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, got a call from David Bowie’s people saying that Bowie really wanted to have some of his music used in the show. We were all completely blown away as you can imagine, all being massive Bowie fans. And then he passed which was so sad.”

“He left us with such amazing gifts. And so like everyone else I went back and listened to all the records. The one that stuck with me, for one reason or another, was ‘Young Americans’.”
