Peter Dinklage, Elle Fanning to topline “I Think We’re Alone Now”

PanARMENIAN.Net - In a pre-American Film Market move, Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning have signed on to star in the science-fiction film “I Think We’re Alone Now”, Variety reports.

IM Global will handle foreign sales at AFM in November. CAA and WME Global co-represent the domestic rights.

Reed Morano will direct from a script by Mike Makowsky. Dinklage and Fanning will play survivors in a world where humanity was wiped out in a mysterious incident.

Producers are Fred Berger (“La La Land”) and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (“Loving”) for Automatik; Mike Makowsky; Dinklage and David Ginsberg through the Estuary production company; and Fernando Loureiro and Roberto Vasconcellos, who will also finance through their company Exhibit.

The title “I Think We’re Alone Now” is also a 1967 song by Tommy James and the Shondells. Tiffany released a cover in 1987.

Morano directed “Meadowland,” starring Olivia Wilde, Luke Wilson, and Giovanni Ribisi. She also helmed episodes of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” starring Elisabeth Moss and Joseph Fiennes for Hulu and MGM.

Dinklage stars in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” Fanning will next be seen opposite Annette Bening in “20th Century Women” and in Ben Affleck’s “Live by Night.”
