Google's Daydream VR viewer available for pre-orderOctober 22, 2016 - 13:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - We're just a few weeks removed from Google launching itself into the world of smartphones, revealing its Pixel and Pixel XL in a bid to join Apple and Samsung atop the tree. But while the phone is an impressive piece of kit, it could be its collaboration with the virtual world which truly sees it shine. And now, Google's Daydream View headset is almost ready to be strapped onto the heads of the masses, Digital Spy said. The company announced on Twitter on Thursday, October 20 that its VR platform is now available for pre-order. The chance to guarantee one of the headsets is currently available to those in the UK, U.S. and Germany – though other countries will seemingly have to wait a tad longer. Much like Samsung's Gear VR, you're going to want to make sure your phone is compatible. This thing relies on the Pixel to provide VR images, so you're going to want to shell out for that in order to get the best experience in the virtual world, Digital Spy said. The search engine giant also announced the same pre-order scheme for its Chromecast Ultra, which offer streaming in 4K, Ultra HD and HDR. This will retail at the same price as the Daydream View, and also be shipped in around 2-3 weeks.
