France’s ARP, Italy’s Tucker Film and Contracorriente Films, buying for Spain and Andorra, have each acquired territory rights to the film from Korea’s Finecut. Previous deals had seen it licensed for North America, Japan, Austria, Benelux, Germany, Myanmar and Switzerland. “Seoul Station,” is already on release in Thailand (through Sahamongkolfilm,) HK (Edko Films,) Malaysia (Mega Films Distribution,) Singapore (Clover Films,) and Taiwan (Moviecloud.) “Train to Busan” has smashed records for an Asian movie throughout Asia and stands on a cumulative of $80.5 million. Finecut’s Liam Neeson-starring war action film “Operation Chromite” was also sold to France’s First International Productions, India’s Soundspace International, Latin America’s Sun Distribution, Scandinavia’s Starmedia, and Spain’s La Aventura. Kim Ki-duk’s “The Net,” which premiered in Venice and Toronto was sold to Italy’s Tucker Film and to Taiwan’s AV-JET. Finecut’s new horror pick-up, “Hide and Never Seek,” directed by Lee Doo, scored with Asian distributors.
