Apple Watch Nike+ release date confirmed

PanARMENIAN.Net - It's almost time to jump aboard the smartwatch bandwagon, Apple and Nike's joint wearable effort is now just days away from release, Digital Spy said.

Dubbed the Apple Watch Nike+, the fitness-focused gadget, which will officially hit retailers this Friday, October 28, is essentially an Apple Watch Series 2 with a Nike-themed skin thrown on the top

Alongside the Apple Watch Series 2's brighter display, waterproof body and integrated GPS for phone-free fitness tracking, the Nike model boasts a few exclusive features.

As well as rocking a stylish, breathable sports strap, the device runs a couple of exclusive Nike watch faces that give the wearable a whole new look. What's more, in a bid to further aid your fitness goals, it will also come equipped with the new Nike+ Run Club app pre-installed, Digital Spy said.

Like the traditional Apple Watch, the Nike+ model, which will drop in both 38mm and 42mm guises, is to be made available in four colour combos - black/volt, black/cool grey, flat silver/white and flat silver/volt.

"Running is one of the world's most popular activities for staying in shape and being healthy, and with Apple Watch Nike+, runners will be even more motivated to achieve their performance goals," Jeff Williams, Apple's chief operating officer said. "The response so far has been incredible and we're thrilled to get Apple Watch Nike+ onto customers' wrists starting Friday."
