Apple leaks a major new MacBook Pro feature

PanARMENIAN.Net - People have been waiting for Apple's upgraded MacBook Pro for a long time, so it's only fair that the company itself appears to have provided a major leak a day before its expected launch, Digital Spy said.

A fresh update to macOS Sierra secretly contains an image of the new laptop, with MacRumors first indicating that the device will house speakers next to the keyboard and the function keys will be replaced with the much-rumoured touch panel.

The new bar, allegedly known as the Magic Toolbar, has been doing the internet rounds for some time, leading to the flashy render seen on the left.

While it was always suspected to take over functions like screen brightness and volume adjusting, the leak below shows us how Touch ID will also be integrated into the new MacBook Pro.

We can only see its application through Apple Pay in the leaked shot, though it would be a surprise if Touch ID wasn't also functional with Siri and the powering up/down of the device, Digital Spy said.

To add some reliability to this leaked image, Mashable recreated the steps to find the image. If your computer is running the macOS Sierra 10.12.1 update, pasting the following into an internet browser should produce the image:

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/PassKitUI.framework/Versions/A/Resources/ApplePaySplashSA.t

So this appears to pretty much confirm what the feature change will be for the MacBook Pro, but we still don't know the official internal specs or whether Apple will indeed continue to remove ports that everyone needs, Digital Spy said.
