PanARMENIAN.Net - As "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is coming closer to theaters, a new image of the Gareth Edwards-directed movie has landed online, AceShowbiz said. Making its way out via Entertainment Weekly, it features Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso along with the Rebellion members, including Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed), ready to go into battle.

Gareth recently told USA Today about how "Rogue One" would be different from the previous "Star Wars" movies. While the storyline looked similar, about a group of rebels who must come together to fight the bad guys, the helmer claimed, "the film doesn't unfold how you think."

"Events take place that just shatter her life and send [Jyn] off to basically be raised as a soldier in the midst of a war," he said. "She ends up not the person she was supposed to be. Even though we're not telling the story of Luke Skywalker, it was important to me that we capture the same themes and emotion, but the film doesn't unfold how you think. It's not the same path as Star Wars."

Gareth directed "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" from a screenplay written by Chris Weitz. The much-awaited "Star Wars" stand-alone movie is supported by Diego Luna, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelsen, Jonathan Aris, Jimmy Smits, Genevieve O'Reilly and James Earle Jones.

It follows Jyn Erso, a Rebellion soldier and criminal who is about to experience her biggest challenge yet when Mon Mothma (O'Reilly) sets her out on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. With help from the Rebels, a master swordsman, and non-allied forces, Jyn will be in for something bigger than she thinks.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is coming to U.S. theaters on December 17.
