Samsung spills details on Galaxy S8

PanARMENIAN.Net - While the tech world's attention is squarely fixed on Apple and its revamped MacBook Pro line, rival Samsung thought it would sneak in a couple of details about its upcoming smartphone, Digital Spy said.

"As the South Korean giant still tries to figure out what actually caused all those exploding batteries, it's also preparing to rebound with its Galaxy S8.

We've heard plenty of unofficial whispers about the flagship despite still sitting months away from launch, but now Sammy appears to have, well, leaked some info themselves. That's right, just a couple of weeks after essentially saying it wanted to avoid any leaks about the phone," Digital Spy said.

Lee Kyeong-tae, Samsung's vice president for mobile communications, told the Wall Street Journal that the S8 will offer a "slick design and an improved camera, as well as an enhanced artificial-intelligence service".

"OK, so we could have probably guessed that for ourselves. But given the company's recent acquisition of Viv - a move which should help propel Sammy into the next level of voice assistant tech - the comment on enhanced AI is noteworthy," Digital Spy said.

Announcing the deal at the time, Samsung said: "With Viv, Samsung will be able to unlock and offer new service experiences for its customers, including one that simplifies user interfaces, understands the context of the user and offers the user the most appropriate and convenient suggestions and recommendations."

So it seems like we could be about to enter the next generation of artificial companionship, which is great news for all the lonely and bored guys out there who are apparently turning to the platform for love, Digital Spy said.
