Apple may be bringing in new display tech for the iPhone 8

PanARMENIAN.Net - With demand for the iPhone 7 at peak level, it's hardly surprising that attention has now turned to the much-anticipated release of the iPhone 8, which will be coming our way next year, Digital Spy said.

Recent rumours have suggested that one way the iPhone 8 will differ from its successful predecessor is with its display technology.

Speaking to an audience of students, Tai Jeng-wu, the president of electronics giant Sharp, said that the iPhone 8 will use OLED display technology, Techradar reports.

To keep you up to speed, Sharp has just been bought out by Foxconn – Apple's main manufacturing partner in Asia. So this rumour is pretty much from the horses mouth, since Sharp will probably be in charge of Apple screens from here on out, Digital Spy said.

For those not in the know, OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) displays would mean better colour contrast, and also signal a host of other possibilities for future phones.

The revelation is also another clue that suggests Apple may one day add a curved screen to its phone anthology, Digital Spy said.
