Download Festival France 2017 final headliners announced

Download Festival France 2017 final headliners announced

PanARMENIAN.Net - The final two headliners of next year’s Download Festival France have been announced, NME reports.

The off-shoot of the legendary Donington Park-held event enjoyed its debut festival back in June, running in tandem with Download Festival back in the UK. Two of this year’s headliners, Rammstein and Iron Maiden, performed during the two-day event in Paris.

Download Festival France revealed their three headliners for the 2017 edition. System Of A Down were first confirmed to be headlining the festival three weeks ago, and they will be joined on the top of the bill by Linkin Park and blink-182.

The Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill supergroup, Prophets of Rage, have also been confirmed to be playing at next year’s festival. 2017’s Download Festival France will run from June 9-11.

The announcement of the Parisian leg of Download will now spark speculation that the same three headliners could all play at Download Festival in the UK next year, which takes place on the same weekend as Download Festival France (June 9-11). Currently no bands or artists have been announced to be playing the Donington event, but TeamRock.com reports that the first line-up announcements for Download 2017 will come later this week.

As well as Rammstein and Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath performed as the third and final headliner at this year’s Download Festival in the UK. The Ozzy Osbourne-fronted band did not play in Paris, however.
