"T2: Trainspotting" 1st trailer features Ewan McGregor (video)

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sony has finally unleashed the first trailer for Danny Boyle's "T2: Trainspotting". It sees Ewan McGregor's Renton reuniting with his drug-addict pals from Boyle's 1996 "Trainspotting", which include Ewen Bremner's Spud, Jonny Lee Miller's Sick Boy and Robert Carlyle's Begbie, AceShowbiz said.

The newly-released trailer shows what has happened to them in the past 20 years. It also features Renton's famous "choose life" speech, but in a modern way as he finally meets his old pals for the first time. He urges them to choose "Facebook, Twitter, Instagram" and "a zero-hour contract."

Renton claims that he's been off heroin, but the trailer features quite heavy drug use. "You are an addict, so be addicted. Just be addicted to something else," he says in a voiceover. "Choose the one you love, choose your future, choose life."

"T2: Trainspotting" follows Renton who returns to the only place he can ever call home. Waiting for him are Spud, Sick Boy and Begbie. Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.

Written by John Hodge, the movie will be released in U.S. theaters on February 10, 2017. It's supported by Irvine Welsh, Simon Weir and Karl Argue.
