New “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” teaser trailer unveiled (video)  November 8, 2016 - 17:28 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - A new teaser trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has been unveiled, NME reports. The 30 second clip shows a number of new scenes including one where a rocket launcher is fired at one of the AT-ATs. The film stars Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, as well as Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker and Diego Luna. It was recently revealed that the film will end 10 minutes before the original 1977 movie Star Wars: A New Hope begins. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is the first in Disney’s “Anthology Series” of spin-off films that will continue with the currently untitled Han Solo prequel movie due in 2018. It was announced in July that rising star Alden Ehrenreich has been cast as a younger version of the character made famous by Harrison Ford. A third Anthology Series film will follow in 2020, Disney confirmed the new film in September. In May, it was reported that Disney had ordered weeks of costly reshoots on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “the goal of the reshoots will be to lighten the mood” as right now Rogue One has the “feel of a war movie”. It will open in the UK on December 15. It will then hit US screens a day later on December 16. Last year’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens also opened in the UK 24 hours before the US. Meanwhile, the director of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Gareth Edwards, has been announced as one of the keynote speakers at next year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) festival. Speaking about the announcement of Edwards and the other speakers, Hugh Forrest, SXSW’s chief programming officer, said the choice reflects “a lot of the bigger-picture trends we think will be getting the most buzz in March 2017.”  Top stories The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest.
