Green Day roll out video for “Still Breathing” (video) November 8, 2016 - 17:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Green Day have unveiled the video for ‘Still Breathing’ from their recent album ‘Revolution Radio’, NME reports. The clip switches between shots of the band and a number of people in moody scenarios. The video was released just hours after the band dedicated ‘American Idiot’ to Donald Trump at the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs). The band won the Global Icon Award on the night, accepting the accolade from Idris Elba. Picking up the prize, Billie Joe Armstrong told the crowd: “I’ve got to say one thing, it’s really nice to be in Europe right now. Most of all it’s nice to be out of America, just for a second because of this horrendous election that’s going on right now”. Speaking to NME in this week’s magazine, available nationwide now, Green Day frontman Armstrong compared billionaire TV personality-turned-Republican candidate Trump to Hitler, blaming his rise on “uneducated white working-class people” and revealing that some of his family members are Trump supporters. Armstrong added: “That’s the problem right there. There’s this white nationalism that’s been brewing under the radar for a long time. But now [Trump’s] been able to cause people to lash out and blame minorities and it’s really confusing. I mean, blatant misogyny going on at the same time. “I’ve got family members from Oklahoma that are big Trump supporters. And there’s no clear answer on why they’re supporting him because he doesn’t even have any policies. “How can you have an opinion about who you want for the Leader of the Free World when the guy running doesn’t have answers to any questions?” The pop-punk band released their twelfth studio album ‘Revolution Radio’ in October, their first record since 2012. The band return to the UK to tour in early 2017, performing at Leeds First Direct Arena February 5, Manchester Arena (6) and London O2 Arena (8) – and will headline British Summer Time Festival at Hyde Park in London on Saturday, July 1.
