Muse’s Matt Bellamy reveals first major tour date of 2017

PanARMENIAN.Net - Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has revealed the band’s first huge tour date of 2017 – calling at Lollapalooza and likely other festivals next year, NME reports.

After stating that the band’s plans for 2017 included touring some US festivals before hopefully recording new material, the ‘Drones’ and ‘Plug In Baby’ singer has now let slip their first major show of next year.

No tour dates for 2017 are currently listed on the band’s website, but asked by a fan on Twitter if they’d be performing at Lollapalooza in Chicago next year, Bellamy responded with “yeah, I think so.”

Meanwhile, he also noted how ‘Back To The Future’ predicted the rise of new President Elect Donald Trump.

This comes after Bellamy made headlines when it was reported that he had voted in favour of Brexit and leaving the US – before clarifying his stance when he said that he was “only Ok with #softbrexit single market & free movement of people”, adding “YES, free to do trade deals outside of EU – YES”. His comments split opinion among Muse fans.

Muse said that their next record could be more “stripped back”. They later suggested they would go hip-hop on the LP – as well as teasing ‘Pokemon vibes’ for their upcoming tour, using augmented reality. Meanwhile, the band’s live director has recently revealed that the band’s plans for their next world tour involve them ‘levitating on magnets’.
