“It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” cult comedy unveils season 12 trailer (video) November 22, 2016 - 16:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The first trailer for Season Twelve of cult US comedy It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia has surfaced online, NME reports. The red band clip, sees the gang swear, snort drugs, fire rocket launchers, and cut lines at water parks. Charlie Day, who plays Charlie in the series, said viewers “can expect to see some of the UFC, you can expect to see an entire musical episode, guest starring from [Quantum Leap‘s] Scott Bakula, you can expect to see us at a water park.” He added, “You can expect a very funny season.” Season 11 of the series concluded in March, with three more seasons commissioned, making it one of the longest-running live-action sitcoms ever. It centres on a group of friends running Paddy’s Pub in South Philadelphia and stars Day, Kaitlin Olson, Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney and Danny DeVito. DeVito joined the show for Season Two in 2006, he plays Frank Reynolds, the father of characters Dennis and Dee. DeVito recently suggested that he could leave the cult US comedy after two more seasons. The new season will debut in the US on FXX January 4. It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is now among the longest-running live-action comedy shows ever, alongside The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, a sitcom that started in 1952 and lasted for 14 seasons. Earlier this year, Nick Grad, co-President of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions, said “If anyone doubts the power of a camcorder and a dream, just look at It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which was a DIY backyard pilot when Rob, Charlie and Glenn brought it to FX and will go down in TV history as one of the most loved and enduring comedies. “Few shows make it this far or have such devoted fans, and we owe it all to the creative vision and great humour of the creators and cast who keep Sunny fresh and inventive every season.” Top stories The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest.
