Adam McKay, Brad Pitt reteam for Dick Cheney bioNovember 23, 2016 - 15:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Adam McKay is developing an untitled Dick Cheney biopic at Paramount Pictures. As AceShowbiz reports citing Deadline, the 48-year-old Oscar-winning filmmaker is teaming up with his "The Big Short" producer Brad Pitt to make the movie through Pitt's production banner Plan B. McKay's Gary Sanchez partners, Will Ferrell and Kevin Messick, will once again serve as producers with Pitt's partners, which include Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner. McKay will also serve behind the camera for the movie chronicling the Halliburton chief executive who becomes reputedly the most powerful Vice President in American history. Of working on his new project, McKay said, "I've always found Cheney fascinating. Questions of what drove him, what his beliefs were; but once we started digging I was astounded at how much he had shaped modern America's place in the world and how shocking the methods were by which he gained his power." While no official casting has been announced, the helmer is said to have quietly completed the script that will shortly be handed to actors. He and the studio eye the coming spring to start filming the movie that will be ready for release late 2017. McKay has several other projects in development. He is attached to pen the screenplay and direct "Bad Blood", a real-life drama about the founder of controversial blood testing company Theranos which stars Jennifer Lawrence. He is also on board to co-write as well as sit behind the lens for HBO's new TV movie "Succession".
